Terms of Use
LAST UPDATED: 2026-07-14
These Terms of Use are an end user license agreement (EULA) between you and Pthfndr, the developer of the app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. The short version: the app is yours to use under a personal license, the subscription is billed through Apple, your trips stay yours, and the plan the agent builds is a plan — not a guarantee about the road.
Acceptance and eligibility
By downloading or using Pthfndr you accept these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old to use Pthfndr, and at least the age of majority where you live to purchase a subscription; otherwise a parent or guardian must do so on your behalf.
License
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to install and use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, sell, rent, or sublicense the app, reverse-engineer it except where the law allows, or use it to build a competing service.
Accounts
You sign in with your Apple Account (Sign in with Apple). Keep the information on your account accurate, and keep your device and credentials secure — activity under your account is your responsibility. You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@pthfndr.app; see the privacy policy for what deletion covers. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms.
Subscription
Pthfndr requires an auto-renewable subscription, purchased as an in-app purchase and billed to your Apple Account.
- Free trial. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. When the trial ends, the subscription converts to a paid monthly subscription at the price shown in the app and on the App Store — unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- Auto-renewal. The subscription renews automatically each month. Your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Managing and cancelling. Manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iOS). Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Cancelling keeps access until the end of the current period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
- Price changes. If the price changes, we will notify you in advance through Apple’s mechanisms, and where required you will need to agree before the new price applies.
- Refunds. Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your content
Trips, itineraries, stops, notes, photos, and messages you create remain yours. You grant us a license to store, process, sync, and display that content as needed to operate the service — including sharing it with trip members you invite and processing planning conversations to generate itineraries. We claim no ownership and use your content only to run Pthfndr, as described in the privacy policy.
Do not upload or share content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit, or harassing, and do not use the app to spam, scrape, probe, or disrupt the service. Photos are screened automatically before storage, and shared content can be reported from inside the app; reports are reviewed within 24 hours. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
AI features
The planning agent generates itineraries with AI. Suggestions can be inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete — a campground may be closed, a pass may be snowed in, hours may be wrong. Verify road conditions, opening hours, reservations, and anything safety-critical independently before you rely on it. The agent’s output is planning assistance, not navigation advice or professional guidance.
Maps and location data
Maps, routes, distances, and drive times are informational. They may not reflect current road conditions, closures, or restrictions. Always follow posted signage and applicable law, and do not interact with the app while driving.
Third-party services
Pthfndr runs on third-party infrastructure — Apple (distribution, sign-in, and billing), Supabase (authentication and database), Mapbox (maps and routing), and OpenAI-powered features (planning conversations and image screening). Your use of the app is also subject to those providers’ terms where they apply. See the privacy policy for what each provider receives.
Disclaimer of warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that itineraries will be accurate. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pthfndr is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost data, lost profits, travel costs, or personal injury arising from reliance on itineraries or route information. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Pthfndr harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the app, or your violation of these terms.
Apple
These terms are between you and Pthfndr, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the app — including product liability, regulatory non-compliance, or consumer-protection claims — or for third-party claims that the app infringes intellectual property rights. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change in the app’s release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence is not affected.
